Findem was founded during the 2020 Covid19 Pandemic after I found myself, like so many others unemployed and looking for a new role. Previously I had been working as an Accountancy and Finance Recruitment manager and have been working in recruitment for a number of years having previously worked in finance.
Upon being made redundant I decided rather than try to find a position within another recruitment business; I would undertake something a bit more essential and become a delivery driver at Tesco; it was whilst I was out in the van one day that the idea for Findem was born.
I’ve always loved recruitment, there is nothing more satisfying than knowing you have helped someone secure their dream job and that they are going to wake up as excited about work every day as I am. Unfortunately there have always been some areas of recruitment that have not felt right to me and my aim with Findem is to address these.
When I thought about what values I wanted to base Findem on, four words particularly stuck out for me which I feel strongly about; Honesty, Transparency, Innovation and Collaboration. Findem is about setting a new standard in recruitment, not only by changing the perception of the industry, but changing recruitment at its core.
